It isn’t always easy to stay positive, especially when things aren’t going your way. However, there are some rather simple things you can do to stay upbeat regardless of what is going on around you. Here are seven of them:

1 – Look for the positives in your situation. They may not always be easy to find, but try to figure out what good could come of your predicament and stay focused on that.

2 – Act with confidence. Instead of worrying about all the ways you could “fail”, imagine that you are this super confident woman and act accordingly. Acting with confidence will help you feel more confident on the inside. You must believe in yourself. What we tell ourselves become a part of us.
3 – Let your boldness show. Don’t be afraid to go after what you want as positive things happen when you start to chase your dreams. At the Up Woman Network we teach women to be bold, confident and courageous moves.
4 – Become a mentor to other young women. When you are in a role where you are leading others, you automatically create a positive, “I can do this” attitude.
5 – Speak positivity. The more positive your daily statements (both to yourself and to others), the less negative you will become, without even trying.
6 – Volunteer. Spend time with others less fortunate than you and you will soon feel more than blessed in your own life.
7 – Surround yourself with positive people. Hang around with others that have a positive attitude and you’ll never feel down.
