The quickest way to success is to surround yourself with like minded people who have similar goals, which is the purpose of a mastermind group. But, how do you start one that accomplishes all that you hope for – and then some?
Research Other Successful Mastermind Groups
Look around online for established mastermind groups and see what they are doing to be successful. Take some of their strategies and come up with ways to implement them into your own new group.
Identify Powerful Group Members
Next, you will want to identify people that you’d like to join you. For instance, maybe you have some confident colleagues, or perhaps you know of a few powerful women who can help you take your ideas to the next level. Come up with a list of 10-12 individuals who you think would be valuable, contributing members. Then invite 4 to 5 to join the mastermind group. Remember to find people who have brilliant minds. You don’t need to be the smartest individual in the mastermind group. If you are the smartest, you may need to find another mastermind group. It is important that everyone adds value to the mastermind.
Give a Personal Invite
You may want to send an introductory letter to prospective members to get the idea of a mastermind in their head, but you’ll want to follow it up with a personal invite so that you can start to make a stronger connection and entice them to join.
Set Up a Meeting
Now you are ready to have your first meeting. Get together and talk about what you each of you want from the group and let it evolve from there. Before you know it, you’ll be part of a successful mastermind group that will take you places you’ve never dreamed of!
