What are you doing to significantly empower yourself? Have you been thinking about going back to school in pursuit of that GED or degree you’ve always wanted? Are you considering relocating to another city or state for better opportunities? Maybe it’s just something as simple as attending a self-development workshop or inspirational presentation. Whatever it is, do it!
Feeling empowered gives us a sense of being prepared and in control. We live in a world where we are not in control of many things: natural disasters, the weather, rampant random crime, economics, illness and death. Some things are just out of our hands and we can feel totally helpless to prevent them. There isn’t much we can do about the things we can’t control, but we can significantly empower ourselves in the things that we can.
If you’ve missed the chance to get your high school diploma or attend college, what’s stopping you now? If you haven’t been able to successfully follow through on a healthy lifestyle change and still want to, begin today. If you have been the victim of a crime or fraud, take a self defense class or diligently seek preventative methods to avoid this again – seek help. It could be that you are going through an emotional crisis and feel hopeless. Get the help and support that you need. It is about being empowered and having the authority to change what you can and to actually do it.
Being significantly empowered does not mean that you have all the answers or even that you won’t ever have another challenge. What it does mean is that you begin to realize that you can make the changes where possible and hopefully know the difference in the things that you can’t and to be at peace with those things. Sometimes giving up control is significance empowerment in itself.
What changes will you make to be significantly empowered?
